Just another piece of information…

So, onto the topic of Friday’s Maze
 Challenge…

Here are my missing times, from my previous blog post.

From about 10:20-11:40: Each group of students will design and create a maze. The groups will be creating their mazes in Mrs. Hunt’s, Mrs. Chittenden’s and Mrs. Longchamp’s classrooms, with a mixture of students from each classroom.

From about 1:20-1:45: Each group of scientists will test their mazes, in their assigned classroom.

From about 1:45-2:30:  The Summit House scientists will go to the Cafe and actually test their mazes, with the assigned sphere.

Thank you to everyone who came, asked about, practiced with their child,  etc. our Greek Plays. It was so very kind of you to help us!!!

Have a great vacation!

This picture is of the Summit House 4th graders as we were testing out the catapults that the kids designed and constructed together. Each group consisted of at least one member from Mrs. Chittenden’s , Mrs. Hunt’s and our class. It was fun and challenging to complete this task. However, the best part was the testing to see how our hard work came out.

Thinking of sharing more information with our families

Wednesday, November 16, 2016… We would like to PERSONALLY invite our families to come to our Summit House presentations of the Greek Readers’ Theatres that we have all been practicing in our classrooms. The first Theatre will begin around 1:45  in our cafe. If you are able to attend we would LOVE to have you.

Friday, November 18, 2016… Then,… should you not be able to come on Wednesday, that’s ok. The Summit House 4th graders will begin constructing again on Friday. This time the kiddos will be grouped again and will design and construct mazes. The students will use what they have learned during their Science Unit of Force and Motion to create their maze. Then, as every good scientist will do, they will have an opportunity to test out their maze creations for everyone in the House. Please be watching for times of the creation and testing of these, but this will take place on Friday- right before vacation. Everyone welcome, but remember that the kiddos have to do the constructing, please!!!

I hope, should I not see you, that you have a safe and enjoyable vacation. Again, thank you for sharing your most child with me.
